Varna Medical University Press was the first publishing house for medical literature in Bulgaria, which in 2014, as an innovator in the field of digitization, implemented a new online platform that allows users to send their manuscripts easily and quickly, regardless of their location.
Following the lead of major foreign publishing houses, the scientific journals of the Medical University of Varna — Scripta Scientifica Medica, Scripta Scientifica Medicinae Dentalis, Scripta Scientifica Pharmaceutica, Scripta Scientifica Salutis Publicae, Scripta Scientifica Vox Studentium, Varna Medical Forum, and Journal of the Medical College of Varna — are open-access publications. The complete content of the articles is available for download without the need for a paid subscription, thus enhancing their international visibility and potential for future citations.
